Key Directions schools provide quality teaching and learning for children and young people who have been identified as having special educational needs and disabilities including autism spectrum condition (ASC); social, emotional and mental health (SEMH); dyslexia; social language and communication needs. We accept students at anytime throughout the year.

All of our students will have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) before they arrive. Some students may require therapies as detailed in their EHC plan and this will be discussed prior to admission to a school.

At Key Directions we recognise that everyone is different and life is not always the same for us all. Many children and young people have special educational needs and disabilities, some may have experienced trauma in early life, which often results in early educational experiences being challenging and negative.

Our aim is to support all children and young people to re-engage in education by providing them with a rich and personalised curriculum and by doing so, raise their sense of worth and their confidence.  Our schools are small and lessons are taught in small groups or on an individual basis, if required.

We recognise that the needs of children and young people do not stop when holidays begin, therefore, we provide continued learning opportunities throughout the entire year. This includes holiday camps, arts and crafts workshops and personal tutoring.

Choosing a new school for your child can be a challenging and difficult journey. At Key Directions we are here to help and provide your child with positive learning experiences so they can achieve their full potential. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.
